MSL6030 backup too slow through Fiber Channel

Hi,

I'm experiencing a big problem with backing up 300GB of big data images to LTO2 tapes.
When i do a backup off all my data and i'm sure it is using de FC card, it backs up with a throughput of maximum 8MB / seconde .
In the documentation i read it can go up to 60MB/seconde !!

Any idea why this happens ?

thanks in advance
Vincent

How are you "sure it is using de FC card"?

Can you explain how you have your servers connected, your backup solution, backup software, wiring diagram, etc.

It almost sounds as if your backup is running over a 100BaseT network.
