Re: MSL6030 only sees Changer

Please check the status of the drives inside the map. It could be that after the replacement all drive are down in the map. Take a screenshot of the map settings, clear the map and fill it up again. Check the entries and save the changes. That should help.

Re: MSL6030 only sees Changer

all the drives are fully operational,

we already tried to clear all the mapping configuration, by removing everything, save it, reboot the library, and added the device map (with all devices) and added the host.

but still no result.

Re: MSL6030 only sees Changer

Can you log in the nsr and collect a report and save it in a *.mht format (html single file format) we can then have a look
Could be the drives have a gap in the lun numbering, or they are not part of the map you are assigning to the specific HBA, or may be a lot of other things

Also can you confirm that the HBA do not see any drive but only the changer?

Qlogic SANsurfer is available for Linux, that should be able to tell you the answer to Marino's question.

Re: MSL6030 only sees Changer

we have the solution.

it seems there was no problem with the MSL6030 or the NSR.

but the LUN order was changed (probebly by replacing the cables) and Linux didn't scan for new devices but only for known devices.

we have changed the hardware scan on the Linux side, and now the devices are being discoverd.

thnx all for the reply's
