MSL6060 LTO2 to LTO3 upgrade

I have an MSL6060 with 2 LTO2 drives. I'm looking into the possibility of upgrading these 2 drives to LTO3. Is this possible, and if so, what pitfalls will I run into with this upgrade? My initial approach to this upgrade would be to simply pull the LTO2 drives, and replace with LTO3s, upgrade drivers and backup software configuration as needed. Is this a valid 10K' overview of the process, or am I assuming too much? Any input is welcome. TIA.

James:

Depending on how old your MSL is, you may also eed to swap out the Network Storage Router.

Otherwise, I would think that the newer drives would work, but don't know for sure.

What ever you are assuming is right. You can upgrade the drives directly and it works.
