MSL6060L@ compression mode
Is there a way to set compression enable on permanantly ?I have a MSL6060L2 tape drive compression frequently defaulted to no , so when backup it uses 3 tapes instead of 2 LTO2 tape media.
Or is it a tape drive problem ?

Re: MSL6060L@ compression mode
not a 100% sure, but I think the setting gets lost on unload after completion of backup?!

Re: MSL6060L@ compression mode
also, have your tapes been used before to hold compressed data!

Re: MSL6060L@ compression mode
So I would recommand to chek in your backup application if the "set Hardware compression" is enabled for all the backups batch.
Also be sure to not activate Software compression in the same time.
