Hi,
I too recently got a C1554-20102, also without a manual. I clicked on the link that the other respondent provided, but that link is no longer active on HP's site. I have looked and looked and cannot find the manual on the site. Can anybody help me locate it, or even email it to me?
Thanks,
-Michael

Re: Manual for C1554
This is just a DDS-3 Drive. What did you want to know about it?
Try this link:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Home.jsp?locale=en_US&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=63890
click on the manuals link from there.

Re: Manual for C1554
Joshua,
I just wanted the manual for this drive. I am one of those strange people who actually look at a manual before installing something.
Using the link you provided I found a general users manual for HP DAT drives, so hopefully that will help me. Thanks for your help.
I wish HP would make it easier to find manuals for tape drives. For example, I had no idea whether my drive is DAT 24 or DAT 40, I was searching by model number.
Thanks,
-Michael

Solution
Michael,
actually, go here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual&locale=en_US&docIndexId=179911&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=42846
A DDS-3 is a DAT 24, not 40. my mistake.
Believe me, you are not alone in wanting easier access to manuals.
if you go to http://partsurfer.hp.com/ and put in the part number of your drive, then it will come back with the description (DDS-3) which Translates to a DAT-24.
Go to http://docs.hp.com/
click 'storage solutions'
click 'tape storage'
click 'html' next to 'hp dat tape drives'.
click 'HP StorageWorks DAT 24 Tape Drives'
HTH!
