Re: Need Win2003 driver for HP A4845A (aka StorageTek 9710)

Need Win2003 driver for HP A4845A (aka StorageTek 9710)

I'm trying to upgrade my Windows 2000 server to Windows 2003 before support is over for Win2k. I have an HP A4845A attached to the server and I was hoping to find a Windows 2003 driver (32bit). It appears StorageTek made one, but Sun now owns them and won't let you download it without a support contract (which is really lame). I would've thought that HP would have the driver, but I can't find any drivers for the HP A4845A anywhere. Help! Thanks!!

Usually the backup application is using its own driver, so you don't need another.

Hope this helps!

I'm using Remote Storage in Windows 2003 and the Removable Storage service. I'm working with Microsoft Support and they have reinforced that I do need a driver for Windows.

Re: Need Win2003 driver for HP A4845A (aka StorageTek 9710)

The HP tech guided me to some bundles of HP drivers on their site, but it appears they are too new. Again, I'm looking for Windows 2003 32-bit drivers for an HP A4845 aka StorageTek Timberwolf 9710 aka HP Surestore 10/588.

Thanks!!

I found that file earlier today. I looked through the .inf files and none reference my library (or its aliases). I also had Windows scan through those drivers and it said none of them were appropriate. I'm starting to think HP never bothered making a driver for it. It looks like it was grouped into the "L-Series" driver from StorageTek and the file from Sun's site is LSeriesServer2k3V1_1_2_2.zip
