New NSR firmware?

Hi,

I received an HP driver & patch alert stating that new firmware for NSR's in various tape libraries is available - version 5.6.87, however if I look on the web - I can only see the previous version - 5.6.7a - also a search for 5.6.87 yields nothing.

Am I looking in the wrong place or has this been revoked?

It has been posted, i have seen it myself, but looks like it was taken back, don't know why. Just monitor the site as it will soon come back is my idea.

search string is "5687" - but better to search the "software and drivers" page.

Thanks for the pointer - I can only find the 5687 firmware for the E1200-160 - can this also be used on the E2400?

The images all are the same but the header is different. The header is used by LTT so it will say that it does not match. Please wait a couple of days and i'm sure that all images will be available.
The "5.6.87_fw_winston_x.dlx" file is a single for for all models to be used with FTP or serial download.

Has anyone noticed any bugs with this firmware? I had to have HP downgrade one of their firmware updates on my MSL library; the update was causing all kinds of fun issues...

I think you are mixing up library robotics code, like 5.13 with NSR code like 5.6.87.
I don't know of any issue with the new NSR code. There was indeed an issue with robotics code, please use 5.16 as this will fix that.
