To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Re: Only one tape drive in Windows server 2003

Hi,

You should check that the zoning on your SAN is configured such that it allows the servers to see the relevant NSRs.

That's the most likely thing to be causing this issue.

Cheers,

Re: Only one tape drive in Windows server 2003

There may also be some funky drive mapping going on on the NSR's themselves.

As stated, you probably have a zoning config issue...

Can you post the zone config on your SAN Switch?

Telnet to the switch, run the commands...

zoneshow
fabricshow
version

save to a text file and post it, if you can.

Re: Only one tape drive in Windows server 2003

I think the only documents that you should need to refer to would be the SAN Design Guide and any release notes for a particular device. Usually all you need to "know" is contained there.

" http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManual〈=en&cc=us&docIndexId=64179&taskId=101&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3664763 "

Additionally, the User guides for your specific devices will contain basic configuration information, but would probably not heavily go into design.
