Problems upgrading a DLT7000 with a 8000 in a TL891

where basically I say,

My TL891 works with the HVD 7000, but cannot even sense and recognize a 8000 ... is the original TL891 (HVD model) just too old to "find" the LVD DLT8000 (yes we held the button in during power-on to re-config it).

Standalone DLT8000 (and DLT7000) drives will not work in the TL891. You'll need the loader/library drives.
