i have purchased HP Storage works 1/8 Ultrium 448 Tape Autoloader, but i have problems with it. Problem is that win2k3 server in device manager recognize as only as tape drives, but he must regonize to as medium changer device. Because OS don't reconize as medium changer, my symantec backup exec 11d don't see a robotic library. I have downloaded firmware upgrade from this location http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=327382&prodNameId=501413&swEnvOID=1005&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=co-13352-18
Any idea's?

Solution"LUN scanning
The HP StorageWorks 1/8 Ultrium 960, Ultrium 448 and Ultrium 232 Tape Autoloaders and the
DLT VS80 Tape Autoloader use a single SCSI ID and dual LUNs to control the tape drive (LUN 0)
and autoloader robotic (LUN 1). These models require an HBA that supports LUN scanning. If it is
not enabled, your host system will not scan beyond LUN 0 and will fail to discover the library. It
will just see the tape drive.
Some HBAs, such as RAID controllers, do not support LUN scanning. Refer to the EBS matrix at
http://www.hp.com/go/ebs for the most up-to-date SCSI HBA compatibility information."
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
