RHEL 4 tape drive question

RHEL 4 server

fiber switch that connects to an e1200 network storage router in an ESL9322

That e1200 NSR has 1 LTO Ultrium tape drive connected.

At one point the box was able to see the tape drive but no longer does. If I look at /proc/scsi/scsi I see:

Attached devices:
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 00 Lun: 00
Vendor: COMPAQ Model: ESL9000 Series Rev: 3.31
Type: Medium Changer ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 00
Vendor: HP Model: OPEN-E Rev: 2114
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 01 Lun: 01
Vendor: HP Model: OPEN-E Rev: 2114
Type: Direct-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

Is there a way I can rescan the scsi bus to try to detect the tape drive?

Is there an ioscan equivalent that will show what devices are currently connected?

Re: RHEL 4 tape drive question

The fibreutils packages provices the hp_rescan command.

There is also a rescan-scsi-bus.sh available if you google for it.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Where can you obtain the fibreutils package?
