Reading files from DLT8000 under Windows 2000
Hi,
I used to use TAR to download a series files from a DLT tape
under UNIX, recently we migrated to Windows 2000, I wonder if there is a similar way to download a series of files from a DLT tape under Windows2000 Professional?
We have a HP QUANTUM DLT8000 tape drive with an USB/SCSI
converter connected to the Windows box. The DLT tape drive
appears in the Computer Management>Storage>Removable Storage box. The tape drive is recognized as device \\.\tape0.
In AIX I use command
tar -xvf /dev/mnt1.1
repeatedly to download all files from the DLT tape one by one. Now I need a similar command under Windows 2000. Thanks for any hint and help
