SATA Disks driver under RH A.S4
Hi,
I have a Proliant DL320 G3 with 2x 250 Gb SATA Disks to configure in RAID1. The disks are recognized in Windows 2003 but not under Linux Redhat A.S 4. The driver on site seems not to work.
Anybody can help ?
Thanks

Re: SATA Disks driver under RH A.S4
Ensure that you downloaded the correct driver from the site. The driver should be a image that you must write to some media. At installation time you use:
linux dd
And you will be prompted for the driver disk.
Are you prompted for the driver disk? Can you select the driver from the disk?

Re: SATA Disks driver under RH A.S4
Thanks for your answer.
I downloaded the only existing driver on the matter.
I typed : "linux update dd" as mentioned on
the procedure found on the site. After that the system seemed to communicate with the floppy but at last the disk drive was not recognized.
Regards

Re: SATA Disks driver under RH A.S4
I succeeded using RH ES4 instaed of RH AS4, but the problem now is that I configure the RAID1 with CTL+A at teh beginning but when installing I see 2 drive sda and sdb. Is there a problem with RAID configuration on internal controllers (in mother board), how can I secure data ? How to use RAID at linux level ?
Thanks again for help
