SAp800 and lto4 sas ext, not supported by "arc serve"

hi,

i have one problem, after install sa p800 with sas ext lto4 my "arc serve" not recognize the tape, after contact support CA i send me the compatibily list for this tape and specify only sas controller for the connectivity, the sas3080x-hp, but this controller is pci-x and older and my server is dl360g5 with pci-e, in the brand hp i found the controller sc44ge, this controller have chipset 3080 lsi?

someone has encountered the same problem?

the LTO4 ext SAS drive is supported.

Does your OS see the drive? If yes then your problem is with arcserve and not with the SAS controller.

the HP SC44Ge is a PCIe SAS HBA that is officially recommended by HP.

The P800 is supported with that drive and should work fine but some early P800 cards require a firmware update and the two ports on the card behave differently so you might try moving your drive to the other port if it isn't seen on the first one. I don't know of any issues with the drive on either port but I do know that they are different so it's worth trying both.
