Hi all,
Are there any differences in SCSI connection scheme between these 2 libraries with 2 tape drives attached ?

Re: SCSI Connection differences between MSL5026 and MSL6030
Both of the libraries have LVDS SCSI interfaces. However the performance differs considerably. The DLT based 5026 has drives that run at 20MB/sec, and the SDLT based 5026 had drives that run 80MB/sec (these are burst rates). The 6030 will have Ultrium1 (80MB/sec) or Ultirum2 (160MB/sec).
So, you will need a higher performance HBA for the 6030 library with Ultrium2 (e.g. Ultra 160 or Ultra320.
The connection scheme is the same between the libraries. The preferred method is a single drive per bus, but 2 drives (and the library) on a single bus is OK.

The journey IS the reward.

Re: SCSI Connection differences between MSL5026 and MSL6030
Somebody knows where can I get any document where I can see the performance measure for those devices?
Thanks.
