Further adding to raadek's response:

Yes, you will have to specify as to what server you are using/planning to deploy.

Now, the MSL2024 can house either two Ultrium 448 drives or one Ultrium 960 drives.

If you are using the Ultrium 448 drives then an dual channel Ultra160 SCSI LVD/SE interface is recommended. For Ultrium 960 drives the Ultra320 SCSI LVD/SE interface is recommended.

So do let us know your server model.

Thanks

Re: SCSI Controller for MSL2024

For tape compatibility... match your tape drive to the model of server you plan to use here:
http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/compatibility/tapebackup/index.html

You should have an idea of what HBA specifically to use.

Please keep in mind you should always avoid RAID cards with tape units, and the MSL 2024/4048 models are LUN Libraries, and need a controller that is LUN enabled.
