SCSIChanger doesnt start after upgrading from SP 7.30 to 7.70
Hi
System: Windows2003 SP1 standard, english
Library: HP Autoloader 20/40
Backupsoftware: Veritas BackupExec 10
Server: HP PL DL380 G4
after upgrading from SP 7.30 to 7.70 and reboot i get the following error:
The SCSIChanger service failed to start due to the following error:
The system cannot find the device specified.
Downgrading to 7.30 and rebooting solves the problem but i want to find out what caused the problem. any ideas ?
regards Peter

Re: SCSIChanger doesnt start after upgrading from SP 7.30 to 7.70
I think i found the problem.
HP Supportpack Setup Routine detects the installed LSI Logic Controller (where the Tape Library is attached) as â HP ProLiant 64-Bit/133-MHz Ultra320 Adapter for Windows Server 2003â since the HP Controller is nothing other than a branded LSI Adapter and the drivername is the same. As HP changed from Miniport to Storport with 7.40 it installs the new storport driver.
