SDLT320 cable length limitation

Hi all
Is there a cable length limitation for SDLT320 tape drives? I tried a 6 feet SCSI cable and the DL380 server hanged upon boot up. But when I tried a 3 feet cable, no problem booting up and detecting it

The supported cable lengths are specified on page 14 of this pdf.

My feeling is that you have a damaged cable, check also for bent pins

One of the pins of the longer cable is bent..
Straighten it and it worked
