SSL 2020 firmware upgrade failed

Hello All

we were upgradeing the firmware of our tape library using HP tools, but it failed without any reason with the below error. now when we start the library we get the following error on the panel

" Overland Librarypro flash boot code attempting to sync with master or host"

and the library doesnt respond, is there any way we can down grade the firmware or restore from back ROM or upgrade using any other method,

Please help

Regards

Robin

Re: SSL 2020 firmware upgrade failed

I'm afraid the only way to recover from this situation is have your SSL2020's controller be replaced.

Something went wrong during the fw upgrade, I suggest you to try again after checking connector/terminator via scsi.
alternatively via serial connection

Re: SSL 2020 firmware upgrade failed

Sorry I noticed that the link I posted do not return the document, here it is:
--------------------
Knowledge Center » Technical » FAQS » Document #1430SD

[1430SD] Why is the slave LXB or LXC on my multi-module Enterprise Library Xpress (LXE) displaying an Attempting to Sync With Master or Host message? « Back to Search Results

Cause: If you see the message "Attempting to Sync with Master or Host," it might be because an attempt to update the firmware failed.

Solution:
1. Connect a serial cable from the library to the PC, and then run LibCenter.
2. Connect and flash to the same version of firmware found on the LXG.

If you need help with this process, contact Overland Storage Technical Support.

if the lib is HP, obviously call HP Technical sup
