SSL1016

I got a SSL1016 autoloader with a DLT1 drive. Some cartridges are recognized as write protected even when they are not. I suspect about the drive, some kind of faulty sensors, or maybe could be something with the cartridges. They are DLT IV cartridges.
Some clue?
