Smart Array 5i plus - External drive

I want to connect external HP StorageWorks Rackmount Kit(with 1x SDLT 110/220GB Tape drv) to Proliant DL380 G3. Can I Use external port of Smart Array 5i plus ?

You can get to the info also by going to this url:
www.hp.com/go/connect

and there select your server and tapedrive and then select the coloured button for further, more detailed info.
