Software not function.

I try to install a Compaq SDT-9000 12/24GB, in Windows 98 with a smart array controller Tekran ADI SSCI, when i try in Windows 95 the program function perfect and too function perfect in W2K, but the problem is the follow in W98 "Backup has encontered a serious error in the Memory Manager. Quit Backup and all other running programs, restart, and then try again. If the problem persist, try reinstalling Backup" . I using adaptec Software for Backup.
