Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Speed from DLT8000 to EMC

What is nominal tranfer rate for data between the DLT8000 tape drive and
EMC array?

Re: Speed from DLT8000 to EMC

Ed,

The nominal transfer rate of the DLT8000 is 6.0 MB/s or 21.6 GB/hour (43.2 GB/hour compressed). I would hope that the EMC is faster than that and the DLT would be the limiting factor.

Do note that the nominal throughput is with the required-for-support dedicated SCSI interface for the DLT. If there's anything else on the SCSI bus, the throughput will go down the tubes.
