Storage Works N1200
logged-in in order to affect a restore to the factory defaults.
So ... Can the reset button on the
back be held for a longer time and force a
factory reset versus a simple reboot of the
unit? Or ... is there some other scheme
like restoring power with the reset button held "in" ?
Thank you in advance.

Re: Storage Works N1200
if the password is to default, there should be any problem to log in and select in the left hand menu the "Factory Settings Reset"
FYI default credentials are root and password

Re: Storage Works N1200
Sorry ... I was asking because I did not have the 'NEW' changes and was looking for a way to break-into the box so I could reset-it-up.

Re: Storage Works N1200
for trying to help. I found some long lost
documentation that had the reconfigured
(read NEW) Username and password so I was
able to get into the controller and reset
everything back so that everything now looks
like it just came out of the factory box -
except it is several years older.
What I was trying to find out was how to
get into the controller if I had *not* found
the lost documentation. It seems hard to
believe that I would have had to obtain
a whole 'new' controller just because someone
was foolish / careless ... even though it
would be a pain. There must be a way in somewhere - even if if it only known to
HP Field Service.
