We just recieved this unit and when we first started it up we got a "Connecting Drive / Drive RDY" message on the display with the "Ready" light blinking on an off. After about 5 minutes of this we get an error code FB 00 with the error light blinking on and off and the message "Drive Logged Out". Does this sound like a DOA unit of is there something easy to check ?

SolutionIf you're really handy you can take the drive loose in the drive can and make certain that the cables are plugged into the back of the drive securely. It's likely an assembly error rather than a failed drive but on a new unit you shouldn't get that.

Cycles Rec.Err.

Not sure what that might be but I'll do some research.
