StorageWorks 1/8 autoloader troubleshooting tree available

An interactive troubleshooting tree for the StorageWorks 1/8 series autoloaders previously available only within HP support has now been made available on the external web.

You can access this by choosing the "self-help resources" link in the left side navigation while on any of the 1/8 support pages, and then selecting "solutions from HP experts" option.

Unlike the MSL tree, we do not have a jump station URL available yet, but this link my get you there in the mean time:
http://h41206.www4.hp.com/webapps/IV3/node.iv?locale=en_US&node=prodITRC%2FDE_HW_STORAGE_18TapeAutoloader_EN_01_E%2FN1&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=327382

Let us know what you think.

This is really nice move from HP.

The information published to user community is quite useful. Users can now explore information about 1/18 autoloader , problems,
error , all at one place!!!!!!
Moreover , it will helpful for getting fast support from HP Support as users would be able to provide exact information to them.

I see there is a MSL5000/6000 tree as well made available to user community. It's really cool!!!!!!

Can we expect a separate tree for old tape storage or libraries like A4845A etc.. ???
This would include all those old legacy tape libraries ( Tape Storage ) no matter HP has current support for them.

Once again Good Work!!!!
Keep Going.

Sameer,

Thanks for your positive feedback.

Yes, we released the MSL troubleshooting tree externally as well (see related post).

It's unlikely that we will provide troubleshooting trees for discontinued products.

First, it takes considerable work to author the content into the troubleshooting trees. Second, it requires the OEM vendor (if applicable) to allow us to release their troubleshooting and/or service manual content externally.
