SureStore 2/20
I have a surestore 2/20 library with 2 Ultrium-1 drives. It works in a SAN enviroment. I want to upgrade my backup capacity. Is It better buy two Ultrium-2 and change tapes or add another 2/20 library? And, if I add another library can I put in two Ultrium-2 drives?
Or If I wanna upgrade all the system, what can I buy (batter performances)?

Re: SureStore 2/20
Hi Matteo,
You can go for any of the following product if you plan for an upgrade.
1. IBM 3584 Tape Library
http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/storage/tape/3584/index.html
2. HP StorageWorks ESL E-Series Tape Libraries

Re: SureStore 2/20
I was thinking about this one:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/msl5030l1/index.html
with two Ultrium-2 drives.
Could be a good choice?

Re: SureStore 2/20
Hi Matteo,
I was about to tell you about the same product too..But I thought of telling an enterprise level library. The one which you selected is also a good choice..Finally you know better than me about your needs at your setup. I feel the one which I mentioned will be too big for your place..isn't it?
If you are adding this with your existing 2/20 you can have max. 4 drives..I think this will be OK for you.
regards,
Syam
