Re: SureStore 718 error 92h
We added an emergency unload test in 2.12 autoloader firmware.

Re: SureStore 718 error 92h
B8H error code means it was unable to open the drive handle and timed out.

Re: SureStore 718 error 92h
This usually means one of 3 things
- The drive loader mechanism is broken and not releasing the handle
- The drive handle motor mechanism is jammed/broken
- The wires to the drive handle motor have been damaged.
If the autoloader was working and suddenly quit the most likely cause is the drive loader mechanism broke. The easiest way to check that is to remove the drive then take off the handle motor and operate the handle manually with the solenoid lifted. With a tape in the drive you should hear the solenoid click just befor the handle motor tries to open. If the drive is empty just powering up it is harder to hear the solenoid click but it still should.
The drive handle motor mechansim sometimes gets worn and will stick. If it isn't too worn you can remove it and run it back and forth manually then reinstall it. When reinstalling be careful to leave both screws loose and jiggle the motor then let it sit in it's most natural position when you tighten the screws. The motor will jam if not installed correctly.
To check the wires to the handle motor just remove the drive and inspect them visually.
