SureStore Dat 8 (C1529J) Xp Pro Drivers

Why does the SureStore Dat 8 (C1529J)have drivers for XP and not Xp Pro?
Can the XP drivers be used on XP Pro?

Usualy the new OS have embeded drivers for old hardware.
Anyway, the drivers for XP are ok for XP pro, it is the same platform, XP pro have just some additional features

Re: SureStore Dat 8 (C1529J) Xp Pro Drivers

Thank you for the quick response Marino Meloni. I felt the same way as XP Pro is XP with a few more administartive and security apps but, I would like a few more opinions as to why they would make drivers for XP and not Pro.
Are there any differences in the way the drivers are writen?
I have read a few posts concerning other tape backups that didn't have Pro drivers and the people were having problems in XP Pro.

personaly, I never found differences between XP and XP pro at a drivers level, the difference between the SW families are only related to 32 vs 64 bit versions.
Anyway the DAT8 (DDS2) is on the HCL of Windows Pro.
