Surestor DAT 24 Tape stuck in drive

I can not get the tape to eject from the drive, I have re-booted the system and it still will not come out! Any advice?

did you disconnect the drive from power respecively the machine?

often times on dat drives, simply upgrading the firmware using HP Library and tape tools will force the drive to eject.
or you can try a forced eject yourself by holding in eject for 10 seccods. But the firmware update should force eject. Also, once a tape gets stuck in that drive it is pretty much unusable, I would not reccomend using it again once you get it out.
