Surestore 15 slot dlt4000 library and Windows 2000

Can this library be used with Windows 2000?
Since upgrading to W2k I have been unable to recognize the second tape drive of a 2 drive 15 slot library. I can see the drive with the Hp tape tools. But Backup Exec 8.6 and the OS registry do not see it. Lots of help from tech support but no solution to date. Anyone else care to try?
