Surestore 24X6 Autoloader Write Problems

Hello there,
I've had my autoloader for quite some time now, and love it. But ever since last week I've been getting a write error message, so I guess my tape heads are shot. I want to replace the tape drive in the autoloader, but I don't know which tape drive is compatible. I was hoping a could buy some C1537 internal tape drive on Ebay, and swap out the drive, but I'm not sure if it will work becuase I can't find an exact match for my drive.

The Autoloader part number is C1557-00174
The Tape Drive part number is C1537-04000

Which Tape drives can I swap that will recognize my autoloader?

Abdiel,
are you sure you have bad drive? Maybe bad tapes? Did you try to clean drive 5 times?
DAT drives should be cleaned regularly: after every 5 full backups or 20 tape pulling hours. Not following these recommendations will shorten drive's life.
HP replaces autoloader as whole unit. I'm not sure if you'll buy standalone drive it will fit into autoloader, I guess you'll need to move some mechs from old drive to new one.
Try checking drive with HP LTT http://www.hp.com/cposupport/information_storage/support_doc/lpg50128.html
