Surestore 4/40 lost password

Hi all,

We have a surestore 4/40 tape library that we dont have a clue what the password is to do admin and to connect via the remote card. Anyone know of a way of setting it back to default password setting or turning it off.

Hello Mark,
there is a routine to reset the password, but for that you need to be in front of the unit. It is possible for HP service to calculate a password to reset your password, but this needs to be done on the phone.

You need to call HP Service, they should know how to do it.
