Usually the driver for the media changer is with your backup application. Some also include their own tape drivers.

hi,
Windows backup do not support libraries, you neet to use a ISV Backup program in order to manage it

Re: Surestore 6/60 Driver Issue?

ISV = Independent Software Vendor - basically a backup software package.

MS backup supports some autoloaders/libraries. You have to look the hardware compatibility list to see what they support. Typically they are a few years behind the product release.

I don't think the C7200 is one they support. For a library like that, you really should be using a real backup application (e.g. backup exec).

FYI, if you want to see what tape hardware microsoft supports, go to this web page:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/server/howtobuy/upgrading/compat/search/devices.asp

and enter 'hewlett' for the company name, and then choose the catagory 'storage'. There are some tape libraries, but the 2/20 series is not one of them.

Here are some backup apps that supported the SureStore 2/20 series:

Omniback
Omniback Data Protector
Veritas Netbackup
Veritas Backup Exec
CA ARCserve 2000
Legato Networker
IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
Commvault Galaxy
Hicomp Hiback (?)
