Surestore DAT 24, Adaptec 2940AU and Windows XP Professional

Hello All,

I have a Compaq Evo (CMT510) running Windows XP with an Adaptec 2840 AU SCSI controller and a Surestore DAT24 drive connected.

Windows XP sees the SCSI controller, but does not detect the tape drive (The controller detects the tape drive at start-up)

Any help would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the typo...it's an Adaptec 2940AU controller.
