Surestore DLT80 drive module
Another related issue, is when you want to run interactive backups through SAM. Initialy the tape backup device would not be detected and listed. But after manuevering around, it will later be listed.
Has anyone come across to such kind of problem? Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Surestore DLT80 drive module
You should update this!
Because you replaced the drive already, you should check the cable and terminator now and replace them.
Very often a broken or bent pin will produce very strange problems.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

You should check for patches too, see

For diagnostics see

Re: Surestore DLT80 drive module
This is a server that is never moved or tempered, but I just went ahead and checked the pins. They all look Ok.
I even went further and swaped the HBA card and still the problem persists.
patch and diagnostic updates are my next step. I will update afterwards.
Thanks
