T3000 format problem
Using a T3000 attached to an onboard floppy controller with Win98se. Tried to add files to a Verbatim MC 3020 EX tape. Got an error stating the tape was unformatted. So I tried to format the tape. CB II v8 searches for the "media length", then it says "preformating", after about 2 minutes it comes up with the error "media can not be used with the device, error code #0B-13-01-02-100B and the formating stops. I know the first two codes mean: Software is doing a preformat-Tape type is invalid or unknown. Tried the drive on another PC with the same results. Don't have another tape to try so before I get one, thought someone might give opinion on whether this is most likely a hardware problem or a tape failure.
