T4000S Restore Problem in Windows XP

I configured the Tape Drive using HP Backup II version 9 driver in Windows XP. The unit backs up but it won't restore. I get error message that it can't write to the drive. Can anyone tell me how to correct this? Thanks.

The only thing I could think of is user permissions. XP does have file-based permissions.
