TAPE DRIVER ERROR 58
Supposedly, this is what it means.
"The (Y) motor has jammed while moving the cartridge platform up without a cartridge."
Can anyone help me? How can i fix this?

Please provide some more details.
I assume your are delaing with a tape library: model? firmware? which kind of drives?
The library should be manager by server(s); which kind of connection? SCSI? FC over a SAN?

the error indicate that the mechanism encoured an error moving inside the autoloader.
This unit is a DDS3 autoloader with a dds tape drive and a charger with six dds cartridge.
the error may ne due to a temporary problem, then try to swich off the server for a few minuts,and then reboot, (this will reinizialize the robotic controller, and the mechanis, and hopefuly clear the error) if the problem is not solved with this action, and the unit is under warranty/contract, it is time to call HP for support.
If you are out of warranty, you may try to remove from the server and see if something is blocking the robotic path
