TL891 and 39160 SCSI cards
We are trying to connect an older TL891 to a compaq server with the 39160 (compaq OEM) SCSI card and are unsuccessful. HAs anyone has any experience with this??

look at it... may be interesing.
Read pdf docs available here http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/dlt891/documentation.html . I see in adapter and cable matrix that TL891 is not supported with "Dual Channel U3 LVD (3X-KZPEA-DB)". But if you have 129803-B21 then it's supported.
Could you please detail your "unsiccessful"? Library is not seen in SCSI bios? It does not function? OS does not see library?
What would I propose to check first are cables and bus termination. Try connecting another LVD device to see if 39160's port is functional. Try connecting this TL891 to another supported HBA to see if it will work
