TL891DLX cleaning problems

Hello,

for several years now we use 4 x TL891DLX backup units with Veritas Netbackup on Windows NT.

For several weeks now we have the following problem:

One of the units starts asking for the cleaning cartridge after every backup.
We changed the cleaning tape,
the daily tapes, the TL891DLX and the SCSI controller. Still the problem remains!!

Any clues what this could be?

Same tape drive for several years? Consider replacing the drive or *if possible* realigning the heads.
