Re: Tape Drive Installation Procedures

Do you think the hardware gone bad.

I have followed every thing on HP Documentation.

I am waiting to fix this so that I can create bootable backup of the server using make_recovery.

Please note that its application and Oracle DB server running with Service Guard Cluster.

Re: Tape Drive Installation Procedures

Hi All,

Do you think the SCSI ID needs to be changed.

Re: Tape Drive Installation Procedures

Hi Your hardware state was not claimed you need to change the kernel parameters.

goto sam--> kernel configurations and stape -->check the current state and pending state change it to in in and exit sam and run insf -e and check it out.

Re: Tape Drive Installation Procedures

Hey Im sorry I din't watch the first screen shot you can change your scsi cables and you can check it. If not connect the tape drive to other server's and check whether the tape drive is in working status.

Re: Tape Drive Installation Procedures

I guess you have connected the drive to an unsupported controller, lease run

# model

and post the result.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Tape Drive Installation Procedures

HI

I went to http://www.hp.com/products1/storage/compatibility/tapebackup/PA-RISC/index.html

and it shows the tape array is supported with the server.
