Tape Library Error every after tape change.
Hi,
I always receive an error (see below) when I issue the command mc -p /dev/rac/c23t4d1 -r DS command after a tape is loaded/unloaded from our COMPAQ MSL5000 Series tape library.
#mc -p /dev/rac/c23t4d1 -r DS
ERROR: 0x6 Unit Attention : 0x288d Unknown Additional Sense Code
This error only occures once (every after a tape load/unload from the tape library). The succeeding mc commands after receiving this error are okay.
Thanks,
Karl

Re: Tape Library Error every after tape change.
It is highly possible your library needs servicing...
Have it checked. and diags run... Is this Library bridged (via NSR/MPR) or direct attached?
