Tape Library Sense Key Error

When trying to Vault tapes (using Veritas) from our "HP StorageWorks MSL5000 Series Library" we are getting the error "TLD(0) key = 0x5, asc = 0x3b, ascq = 0x90, UNKNOWN ERROR, KEY: 0x05, ASC: 0x3B, ASCQ: 0x90" but I have not been able to track down the cause of this error.

I have looked on the HP website but have not yet found any information related to this exact error.

Veritas has concluded that our Vaulting (tape eject) problem is at a lower level than the Veritas software some where between the OS and tape library.

The error occurs after we pull the first batch of tapes fromthe mail slot.

Any help you can provide is appreciated.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Tape Library Sense Key Error

ken ,

check the patches for the OS of your veritas
master backup server .
Check the F/w version of the Modular Data Router you are using and apply the latest .
Check the F/w of the tape drives .

Illegal request - element not accessible.

You either have something misconfigured or your backup product (Veritas is a company, not a product) is doing something wrong.

Thanks,
