Re: Tape drive disappears

I have noticed that when running the SCSIDomain Validation tool, the card and driver version display correctly but not the devices.

The configuration tool and Windows Device manager detect the devices properly.

Is there any 'trick' to this utility?

Re: Tape drive disappears

Scratch that last entry. Downloaded latest version from attotech and seems to work.
I ran across this thread:

I'll give this a try and see if there is any difference

Re: Tape drive disappears

Update: Still getting the errors but on the plus side it didn't throw the backup software (NetBackup) in a tailspin and mark the drives as unavailable.

Re: Tape drive disappears

I seem to have the same issue, using a ML350-G5. I have installed 3 x AH627A cards (U320e) into my system and connected up 6 tape drives. The system cannot seem to locate the drives, even if I do a bus rescan. Windows 2003 see the drives but the HBAs seem to have a problem seeing them. Any help on this would be of immense help as I am trying to get 20 other systems working with the same issue.
