Tape drive problem

Dear Friends,

Today i am getting tape drive( HP Storage works Ultrium 232) installation error.
In am using win-2003 O/S before i ca see the tape device in device manager list .. but last week onwards i can't see the tape drive in the device manager list...

Note: When ever i trying take the backup via NTBACKUP i am getting error.Kindly any one explaine to me..
How to install tape drive in my system.I am attaching error file .

The data is inadequate ....

This means the drive is not detected.

The culprit can be

1. the Windows driver (for the controller and drive)
2. The SCSI controller
3. The cable, terminators etc.
4. The drive

Is the drive working with any other system
