Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Re: Twe SureStore DLT 40

Hi
Your question is perhaps too summary. In general there is no problen using two DLT drives on the same SCSI bus, just assign different SCSI-adresses (the switch at the rear) to each drive.

Re: Twe SureStore DLT 40

Hi,

This is one thing I would not do, is to have two DLT drives on the one SCSI card. You will most likely find that you will not get enough data to stream to the drive fast enough to have the two drives performing well. I suggest you invest in an additional card.

You can change the SCSI ID number at the rear of the unit.

Re: Twe SureStore DLT 40

Hi there.
Some short answer : DON'T !
The bandwidth of the SCSI interface is just enough for one DLT drive. If you daisychain these things, you will have a major loss of possible performance.
