USB DAT160 recognized but not visible as drive in System
I installed HP DataStorage DAT160 USB to Vista 64bit, i already installed all drivers and HP Storage Library and Tape Tools. I can access it by tools, and see that drivers installed correctly, but i don't have any letter drive assigned to this device. So how it's possible to storage any data in tape?

Re: USB DAT160 recognized but not visible as drive in System
Hello Leszek
The tape devices usually never get a Drive letter assigned to the system as they are sequential access devices.
I am pretty sure the drive came with a free HP Data Protector Express Single Server Edition CD. Which is one of many backup applications.
Please refer to this site for a list of other options

In a nutshell, you need a special application that will store and retrieve your data.
