Ultirum 2 Drive Ultirum 3 Cartridge

Is Ultirum 3 Cartridge supported on a Ulrium 3 drives,I ask this question because when i installed veritas backupexec 10 on my HP server and do the inventory all tape drives was detected as cleaning media, the tape library is ultrium 2 while the cartridge are all Ultrium 3.

I really can't imagine how "forward compatibility" should work ;-)

Simple answer: An ultrium 2 drive *cannot* handle an Ultrium 3 medium.
