Ultrium 460 external in rack enclosure

Hi,

My question is what are the advantages / disadvantanges of using a Ultra 320 scsi controller over an ultra 160 ? the server has full and half length pci-x slots. Will the Ultra 320 give me better performance over using the built in raid controller of the server ?
